At JaJa Film Productions we consider both film and photo as strong means of communication to tell a story and get a message across. Since 2008 Jamillah van der Hulst has curated 4 photo exhibits of which the last 2 were independently produced by JaJa Film Productions.
We worked with Dutch top photographers Raymond Rutting (2008), Robin Utrecht (2010 & 2014) and Marco Hofsté (2014) and with the talented Vicky Roy from India (2018). Their work for the photo exhibits characterizes itself by a distinct style and a conceptual approach.
The JaJa Film Productions’ photo exhibits touch on important human rights issues such as the rights and protection of street children and the right to play for children. Not only did the exhibits travel the world but the photos were also used in various online and offline publications and as stills for the Streetkids United documentaries.
The photo exhibits have been at display on appealing locations such as the Olympic Stadium Amsterdam (2008, Netherlands), Schiphol Amsterdam (2008 and 2010, Netherlands) and Hotel Caesar Park Rio de Janeiro Ipanema (2014, Brazil). One of world’s most popular news websites The Guardian published photos of Vicky Roy in 2018.
