The Stars in their Eyes Photo Exhibit was shown at various locations in the Netherlands before, during and after the FIFA World Cup 2010. The exhibit displays 10 photos that make you feel the joy, passion and ambition of the participants in the Stars in their Eyes projects in South Africa.

Stars in their Eyes focuses on creating a human legacy in disadvantaged city townships and poverty-stricken rural areas. Each participating disadvantaged community is twinned with a Dutch football club and the village in which it is situated. The ongoing community development activities in South Africa are enhanced by personal communication between the South African community coaches and their Dutch partners.

Robin Utrecht (1974) knows how to photograph his subjects in a creative, almost abstract style. Up until now, he has won 28 prizes in different categories of the annual ‘Zilveren Camera’ competition for Dutch photo journalism and several international awards.
