Kannadoss, a former streetchild from India, works for the charity organization Karunalaya. Karunalaya Social Service Society is a secular, non-profit voluntary organisation working for the protection and development of street and working children in Chennai City since 1995. It was started as a grass roots organisation for the care, protection and rehabilitation of runaway, destitute street children, children working in the fishing industry, street youth and empowerment of women in the fishing community, street and pavement dwelling communities. Everyday Kannadoss goes to the trainstation in Chennai to rescue street children who live on the trains.
